Australian Volleyball Federation

The Australian Volleyball Federation is the peak body for the administration of the sport of volleyball in Australia.The objects for which the Federation is established and maintained are to:

• conduct, encourage, promote, advance, standardise, control and administer all forms of the sport of volleyball in and throughout Australia as a human endeavour

• provide for the conduct, encouragement, promotion and administration of the sport of volleyball through and by various Member States or other organisations for the mutual and collective benefit of the Members and the sport of volleyball

• act in good faith and loyalty to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of the Federation and volleyball, its standards, quality and reputation for the collective and mutual benefit of the Members and the sport of volleyball

• at all times operate with, and promote, mutual trust and confidence between the Federation and the Members in pursuit of these objects

• at all times to act on behalf of, and in the interests of, the Members and the sport of volleyball

• promote the economic and sporting success, strength and stability of the Federation and each Member State and to act interdependently with each Member Statein pursuit of these objects.

New England Region Volleyball Association (NERVA)

NERVA is the acronym for the New England Region Volleyball Association. The New England Region is one of many Regions in the United States that aid in the governing of the sport of volleyball. Regional Volleyball Associations (RVAs) are member organizations of USA Volleyball (USAV). The RVAs serve as the grassroots function for the USAV and individually and collectively serve as a catalyst for USAV functions. Each Region is independantly operated and is lead by a Regional Commissioner.

United States Volleyball Association (USVBA)

The United States Volleyball Association (USVBA) is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized by the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). The vision of the USVBA is to be acknowledged as the world leader in volleyball. In order to accomplish this mission, the following goals are to be achieved:

• Competitive Success: To win gold medals in every international competition;

• Sport Growth: To achieve full participation in volleyball at all levels and in all geographical areas;

• Sport Enhancement: To improve support services necessary for the quality and conduct of programs to ensure recognition as the authority and expert for volleyball;

• International Representation: To have influential positions on all international boards and commissions;

• Recognition: To receive consistent recognition of volleyball coaches and athletes as top world performers;

• Administration: To develop and maintain a structure which will effectively and efficiently assist in achieving the vision and mission of the Corporation; and

• Finances: To develop, implement and maintain a financial plan to achieve the vision and mission of the Corporation.
