Alberta Alpine Ski Association

The Alberta Alpine Ski Association is the governing body for alpine ski racing in the Province of Alberta. The Association represents over 30 ski clubs province wide and coordinates and supports skiing development and racing programs for athletes starting at age 5 through to adult ages.

Skiing and ski racing offer the rare combination of developing a lifelong sport with constant personal challenges in an environment that thrives on friendship and family involvement.

American Blind Skiing Foundation

ABSF was founded in 1971 and is a non-profit tax exempt (501-C3) national organization chartered in the State of Illinois.  The purpose of ABSF is to provide an educational skiing program that is open to any blind or visually impaired person in the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value.

British Disabled Water Ski Association

The associations aim is to have facilities around the country that will introduce newcomers to the sport who, due to their disability would not have considered the challenge previously possible.

Forget the restrictions of the land, leave your disability behind and feel the freedom of the water. With the expert guidance and assistance from fully qualified instructors you can take to the water and learn to water ski, whatever your disability.

Amputees, blind, deaf, sufferers of partial paralysis, paraplegic other wheelchair users, people with Multiple Sclerosis, learning disabilities and more...., have all graduated through the British Disabled Water Ski Association.

Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA)

Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) is the governing body for ski racing in Canada. Founded in 1920 and accounting for close to 200,000 supporting members, ACA represents coaches, officials, supporters and athletes, including the elite racers of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Disabled Alpine Ski Team. Relentlessly pursuing excellence, ACA seeks to put Canadian athletes on the top step of the podium through the commitment of financial, technical and human resources. ACA is also dedicated to promoting participation within Canada’s four million recreational skiers.

National Ski Areas Association

The National Ski Areas Association is the trade association for ski area owners and operators. It represents 326 alpine resorts that account for more than 90 percent of the skier/snowboarder visits nationwide. Additionally, it has 400 supplier members who provide equipment, goods and services to the mountain resort industry.

NSAA analyzes and distributes ski industry statistics; produces annual conferences and trade shows; produces a bimonthly industry publication and is active in state and federal government affairs. The association also provides educational programs and employee training materials on industry issues including OSHA, ADA and NEPA regulations and compliance; environmental laws and regulations; state regulatory requirements; aerial tramway safety; and resort operations and guest service.
