Susan's been acting since the tender age of four, appearing in both television and film. Her most notable roles include that of Amy in Straw Dogs (1971), and Mary Coombs in Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974).

1988 marked her producing debut with Stealing Heaven.

She has been married to slightly younger British actor, Simon MacCorkindale, since October 5, 1984. They have no children.
