Jay Marvin is a left-leaning radio talk show host heard locally on KKZN-AM in Denver-Boulder, Colorado from 6am-10am MST.

He began his radio career in 1973 in Del Rio, Texas, working as a Country music disc-jockey. He segued into talk radio and has since worked at WJJD and WJEZ-FM (now WJMK-FM), both located in Chicago.

Marvin also has worked talk radio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tampa, Florida and Denver, Colorado in the mid to late 1990's when he did afternoons on KHOW. He has twice worked at WLS-AM.

He has guest hosted for Ed Schultz and Jerry Springer.

Marvin is a diagnosed bipolar manic depressive and has openly spoken about his condition. He has devoted much airtime to the discussion of mental health issues.

Political views

Jay Marvin is known for his leftist and libertarian views. He has supported organized labor, has been in favor of health care reform, opposed to censorship and opposed to all forms of racism and sexism.

Though self described as a leftist, Marvin has been a strong supporter of second amendment rights, a supporter of limited use of the death penalty and has been vocal in his support of law enforcement. After the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, he had been supportive of military actions taken by President Bush and continued to be even after the invasion of Iraq. Later, though, he became critical of the war.
