Drugskilled
.
After the loss of my sister to drug abuse, I went online and unable to find one resource that was unbiased, I decided to build my own. Information was gathered from governmental sites, various groups and associations who have experiences first hand with drugs. I use to have all this content under my drugskilled.com site but have decided to migrate this to myfoodcount.com to reach a broader audience and possibly prevent somebody going through similar circumstances. Besides, some drugs are beneficial to our lives - so it makes sense to me to show both sides of the coin.
There is nothing glamorous about drugs, if you have friends who say they are cool because they consume them, send them to this site so they know the fate that awaits them. If you know somebody who is using drugs, send them to this site. I am not a councilor nor am I an expert on drugs, I have never nor have any desire to take any drugs unless medically surpervised and prescribed.
If you are an addict, no matter the drug - if you don't smarten up and seek help, you will end up as dead as my sister. The advice I can tell you is: SEEK HELP NOW!
For families who have seen first hand how drugs can take over a loved ones life, you are not alone. My family has gone through it. If you have already lost a loved one, keep in mind that it not your fault, you where probably the only positive influence in their lives and allowed them to hang on as long as they did before being over-taken.
Now, read about my families loss.
