Upright Rows

Exercise Type:

Anaerobic Exercise (strength training)

Primary Muscles Exercised:

trapezius muscles
anterior and medial deltoids

Description:

1) with a straight back and slight bend at the knees, put your feet shoulder width apart
2) grasp the barbell with an overhand grip narrower then shoulder width apart, palms facing your body
3) rest the barbell on your upper thigh

Techinque:

1) lift the barbell until it reaches your chin with your elbows up higher then your shoulders
2) return barbell to its original position
3) repeat until you have completed your desired number of repetitions
