Leg Curls (lying)

Exercise Type:

Anaerobic Exercise (strength training)

Primary Muscles Exercised:

biceps femoris
semitendinosus
semimembranosus

Description:

1) lie face down on the hamstring curl machine
2) put your ankles under the ankle pad with your knee on the edge of the bench
3) grasp the handles to help stabilize your body while performing the exercise

Techinque:

1) raise your heels towards your buttocks as far as you can
2) once at the peak, slowly return the legs into their original position
3) repeat until you have done your desired number of reps
