Dumbbell Kickbacks

Exercise Type:

Anaerobic Exercise (strength training)

Primary Muscles Exercised:

outer and medial heads of triceps

Description:

1) grasp a dumbbell with palm facing your body
2) lean against something to support your upper body as you bend slightly over
3) support yourself with the hand not holding the dumbbell
4) put one foot ahead of the other
5) dumbbell should be close to the side of your chest

Techinque:

1) slowly kickback with the arm holding the dumbbell until your arm is fully extended
2) hold for a few seconds then return to the original position
3) repeat until you have completed your desired number of repetitions
4) reverse position to exercise the other tricep
